I have a bee on my bonnet, but only long enough for this pic to be taken. (feeling like a dork) - It was a successful weekend. Our team raised over $8,000 and all together the teams raised over $71,000 for the fight against cancer.I had short time for art this weekend... I worked a bit on a painting this morning... but a new novel I started reading kept calling out "read me!"

Hey, who's the dork?? (Giggle.) Goodness, that's a huge amount for such a small group to have raised, you should all feel very pleased with your efforts. Looks like the weather was with you. I love that banner in honour of your mum, I think she would be very proud of you.
How's the book coming along?
Congrats on raising all that money. and it looks like a warm sunny day for it too. what novel are your reading? KJ's? which i read and love.
what a wonderful way to honor your mother! I remember last year you did this also! Great way to bring your family together!!!
I am back to blogging! LOL. well kinda...I have lots to unpack and find places for. haha! Have a great day!
Shrinky,
That's MS DORK, please.
We are very thankful to all the people who contributed to a very worthy cause. I designed the banner and my brother had it printed on vinyl.
Suki,
The weather was gorgeous. I'm reading "Cold Granite" by Stuart MacBride a crime novel set in Aberdeen, Scotland. Shrinky is reading the same book.
I read KJ's book previously. I liked the characters and the story stirred many emotions, especially the twist that shocked me.
ABanana,
This has been our 6th or 7th year of doing the Relay for Life.
Congrats on settling in and welcome back to blogging.
You look so cute!
So wonderful that y'all raised all that money.
JohnG,
(elbow nudge) I tried to be a good sport and wore the bee hat... for a total of 3 minutes. (chuckle)
Beautiful, Chewy...and I know how important this is for you and your beloved mother's memories. I admire you and your other walkers. COngrats on the fund raising and I think you should wear that Bee Bonnet for your next profile pic!
You're even cute as a dork.
Has it been a whole year since this event last year? Or is this a different one?
Ms Creek,
(giggle) Maybe... er... NOT!
Yes, we are keeping Mom's memory alive as well as others who have passed or are living with cancer.
San,

It's been a year since the last one. Every May we walk. - And I even did a bit of Zumba Dance/Aerobics.
