Work In Progress (moles)

Click on image for a larger view.
Moles (work in progress)
16" wide x 20" high.
"Moles" is the working title of this painting. Ya know, those pesky little critters under your lawn. Wet, dirty things the cat is proud to leave at your doorstep.

I love this. The background looks kind of like tie dye. And the moles, i love moles, in black outline like Alaskan art. Did you ever read "The Wind in the Willows?" with mole and the other animals as characters??

Suki,
Oh, you are so knowledgeable... yes, Alaskan art. I know what you mean.

I never read the Wind in the Willows, but I rode Mr Toad's Wild Ride at Disney World. (grin)

They look to be conferring with each other as to which root will be tastiest! Again, full of life and character, I can't wait to see how it progresses.

I used to blame the holes Jake dug up in the vegetable patch on moles. I got away with it for a long time before someone finally told hubby we don't have any moles on the island.

This picture really brought a smile to my face, at present I need (having no water due to a leaking pipe means lagging buckets to flush the toilet and wash the dishes, etc.)
Thanks

Ms Creek,
I'm starting out with smaller animals to fit the small sizes of the boards. Bigger boards will be bigger animals. As I've said, the animals appear to me as I paint, so... I don't know what will reveal until they make themself known to me.

kj,
(giggle) I guess they can dance.

Shrinky,
Ah, you read my mind. I thought the same thing after I drew them. - No moles? Do hedgehogs dig?

yesbuts,
No water? ugh. We had no water for 2 hours last week because of a water main break. I hope you get it fixed soon.
